CA Yunus appoints Prof Ali Riaz as his special assistant

Chief Adviser (CA) Muhammad Yunus has appointed Prof Ali Riaz, vice-chairman of the National Consensus Commission, as his special assistant with the rank and status of an adviser.
The Cabinet Division issued a notification in this regard today (13 November).
According to the notification, while holding the position, Ali Riaz will enjoy the status, salary, allowances, and other privileges equivalent to those of an adviser.

Riaz previously headed the Constitutional Reform Commission formed by the interim government, which took over following the ouster of the Awami League government through the mass uprising in July-August of last year.
In February this year, he was made vice-chairman of the National Consensus Commission.
